A pilot of No. 615 Squadron climbs into an aircraft as part of the ‘survival scramble’ (where any flyable aircraft were taken off to get them off the ground as targets) at Kenley just prior to the first attack on the airfield. (The last of 615’s aircraft were seen taking off by the Do 17s of the low flying 9th Staffel KG76 as they came in to attack Kenley over the treetops.)
