'Forward Slip Home' - Spitfire of F/Lt. John Dunlop Urie, 602 Squadron- Framed Small (10" x 8" sheet) Open Edition Print £30.00 +(p&p)
Painting of J. D. Urie's damaged Spitfire, X4110, flying low over Westhampnett church.

F/Lt. John Dunlop Urie, 602 Squadron, performs an outstanding feat of airmanship on a fast and low emergency landing in his badly damaged Spitfire at RAF Westhampnett (now Goodwood Aerodrome), on the 18th August 1940, during the Battle of Britain, WW2.

The aircraft was written off after this due to the damage, and being a new aircraft, having only arrived with the Squadron moments before, meant it served a 24 minute service life... the shortest serving Spitfire ever!

This print is taken from one of my original oil paintings, created to commemorate the bravery of the pilots involved in the Battle of Britain.

SUPERB OPEN EDITION PRINT – 10” x 8” (25.4cm x 20.3cm) sheet size. Image size is c. 9" x 7" (c. 23cm x 18cm).

This print uses the same high quality conservation grade printing processes and paper as my full size limited edition prints (link below), so the print quality is still to the same excellent standards.

The framed print is the perfect option for buying a COMPLETE GIFT, ready to give to the recipient.

The print comes framed in a solid wood frame with a smooth black painted finish. It can be hung on a wall with ease, but also comes with a stand so that it can be displayed free-standing on any flat surface. The print comes fully fitted in the frame, with a protective acrylic glazing.

Please Note: Prints are produced in small batches. I normally have one copy of each print available for immediate dispatch within 2-3 days.

This painting is also available as a:

Full Size Limited Edition
and
